Scheduled Server Maintenance, Saturday and Sunday, 10/4/2014 – 10/5/2014
We have been informed by our data center, and server provider, that they will be performing maintenance on the nodes that several of our servers are using. This will require them to shut down several of our servers for a brief time.
Plesk6 Hosting Server Issue
Early this morning the Plesk6 virtual hosting server appeared to be under heavy load & responding slowly. We opened a trouble ticket with our data center and server provider to investigate.
The Plesk6 server was up and running properly again before 10:00am.
Our provider believes the underlying cause is hardware related. They have scheduled a service window tonight (10/1/2014), and early tomorrow morning (10/2/2014), during off peak hours, to migrate the Plesk6 server to different hardware. The migration is scheduled to start after midnight, tonight.
The server will be unavailable during the migration to new hardware. Because of the large amount of data that needs to be transferred, the migration may take several hours.
