[Resolved] DSL Outage on Wednesday July 8 2015 in Williamsburg

There appears to be a telephone company outage, that started around 3:00pm, on Wednesday, July 8th, 2015, affecting DSL Internet customers in the Williamsburg, VA, area.

Beginning around 3:00pm, on Wednesday, some DSL customers in the Williamsburg area were no longer able to connect.

We have reported the issue to the telephone company and are waiting for an update. We have been told, we are not the only ISP affected by this issue.

If you are calling because your DSL Internet connection stopped working around 3:00PM, on Wednesday, we apologize for the inconvenience. Please be patient. We are aware of the issue and have reported it to the telephone company.

Updates, when available, will be posted to the Widomaker members’ home page at “http://home.widomaker.com/“. Additionally, updates will be posted to Widomaker’s Facebook and Twitter feeds, which are available on many Smartphones.

The telephone company is aware of the current outage and is working towards restoring service to normal as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there is no ETR at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

Affected customers have been able to reconnect. In some cases, powering off, and back on, the modem and router equipment is necessary. We are still waiting for an official update from the telephone company to advise us the outage has cleared.
