[Completed] Scheduled Downtime Sunday August 25th 2013
Widomaker has scheduled some planned downtime for, Sunday, August 25th, 2013, in order to perform maintenance and relocate several servers to a new data center. Click “Read the Rest of This Entry” for details and updates…
The maintenance window we are scheduling is from 6:00 AM until 12:00 PM (noon), on Sunday, August 25th, 2013. During that window several services will be unavailable, including…
- Widomaker’s web site (www.widomaker.com and home.widomaker.com) will be unavailable.
- Widomaker’s e-mail server for customers with widomaker.com e-mail accounts will be unavailable for both sending and receiving. This means that customers with e-mail addresses containing “@widomaker.com” (or any alternative variations) will not be able to send or receive mail.
Services that should NOT be affected include…
- Internet access connections including DSL and other types of Internet connections.
- Web hosting customers using the Plesk Panel hosting server.
We have scheduled a window that we think is appropriate, however, it is always possible that some unforeseen complications come up during the process. In that case, the maintenance window will have to be extended past the 12:00 PM (noon) goal.
During the maintenance window, Widomaker’s weblog (blog) will be available and have updates posted there as necessary. You may want to make note of these URLs in advance…
Please make a note of the day and time of the maintenance window so that you can make sure you are not caught unaware when the planned downtime begins on, Sunday, August 25th, at 6:00 AM.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding this. We thank you for your attention to this and for your patience while we perform maintenance.
P.S. This notice has also been e-mailed to all Widomaker customers and widomaker.com e-mail accounts. In the future, important system notices like this one may only be sent to the primary e-mail address on file for your account. If you did not receive at least one copy of this e-mail notice that began with a personalized greeting (“Hello [your name],” not just “Hello,”), then you should contact us to update the primary e-mail address we have on file for you.
Customers who have their browser’s home or start page set to Widomaker’s home page will see an error message. That does not mean that anything is wrong with the Internet connection. Just open a different web page by typing it into the address bar or choosing one from the favorites or bookmarks menu.
