Upgrade to Warden Anti-Spam Plugin for Plesk Hosted Mailboxes
This announcement is only intended for customers who have their own custom domain name hosted on one of our Plesk hosting servers.
Today, we will be upgrading the Warden Anti-Spam plugin, on our Plesk hosting servers, to the latest major version.
If you have a domain and e-mail hosted on one of our Plesk hosting servers, you may notice a reduction in the amount of spam/junk e-mail you receive. Additionally, you may see some additional controls and options, regarding spam filtering, in the Plesk control panel.
As with all anti-spam systems, it may require some tweaking at the individual level, before it works optimally. If you notice that some messages are being flagged as spam, that shouldn’t be, please contact us so we can make appropriate adjustments to your individual settings.
You can improve the accuracy of spam detection for messages sent to your specific domain name:
- Access your mailbox with webmail (Use your web browser to visit the webmail address for your domain name. For example, webmail.example.com) or an IMAP mail client program on your computer.
- Review the messages in your Inbox folder. Move all spam messages to the Spam folder. This will make the SpamAssassin spam filter recognize spam more efficiently.
More details may be found in the Plesk Customer’s Guide (Protecting from Spam).
