[Resolved] DSL Outage in parts of Williamsburg, VA, on July 11, 2023

7/11/2023 2:00 PM ET – There is a telephone company outage affecting some DSL customers in the Williamsburg, VA, area. Customers reported trouble starting shortly after 12:15 PM. The telephone company has not provided an ETR. We are waiting for further updates.

7/11/2023 4:00 PM ET – Affected customers have been able to reconnect since 3:34 PM ET. We are still waiting for an update from the telephone company. If you were affected by this outage and have not reconnected, please power off, and back on, your DSL modem. Contact our office if you are unable to reconnect.

7/12/2023 10:00 AM ET – The telephone company outage has cleared.

9/30/2022 1:40 PM ET – As of approximately 1:40 PM ET, on Sept. 30, 2022, the telephone company acknowledged there is one, or more, outage(s) affecting some DSL customers in the Williamsburg, VA, area. Some customers reported trouble starting shortly after 11:00 AM. The telephone company has not provided an ETR. We are waiting for further updates.

[Resolved] DSL Outage in the Stonehouse/Croaker Area of Williamsburg 9/15/22

As of approximately 3:30 PM ET, on Sept. 15, 2022, some DSL customers in the Stonehouse/Croaker area of Williamsburg began reporting intermittent service interruptions. If your DSL service is affected by this issue, be sure to let us know by calling our office, and providing the status of the lights on your DSL modem. Since there was a recent telephone company outage in the same area, we assume this is related. We have opened trouble tickets to report the issue to the telephone company and are waiting for updates. October 12 2020: Beginning about 12:30 PM ET, on Monday, October 12th, 2020, DSL customers, in the area of First Colony, and areas near Route 5, close to Jamestown, in Williamsburg, were unable to connect to DSL. [Resolved] DSL Outage in Hampton Roads Area on 2/4/2019

[Updates will be added to the bottom of this post]

2/4/2019 2:00 pm: Verizon has confirmed that there is an outage affecting some DSL customers in the, Hampton Roads area. The outage appears to have started around 4:21 am (ET) on, Monday, February 4th, 2019. Verizon has not provided an ETR (Estimated Time of Resolution), at this time, and we are waiting for an update. We appreciate your patience.

2/5/2019 10:00 am: Per Verizon, the outage has cleared. Affected customers were able to reconnect shortly after, 9:00 pm, Monday evening (2/4/2019).

[Resolved 12/14/2018] DSL Outage in Powhatan Secondary Area of Williamsburg

Verizon has confirmed an outage in the area of Powhatan Secondary in, Williamsburg, Virginia. The outage began after power was restored to the area, following the snowy weather and power outages on, Sunday, December 9th, 2018. Verizon has stated they have no ETR (Estimated Time of Resolution), at this time. We are waiting for further updates. We appreciate your patience.

[Update 12/18/2018] We have received an update that Verizon cleared this outage at the end of the day on 12/14/2018. All outage tickets were closed on Verizon’s side. Affected customers have reconnected.

[Resolved] DSL Outage in Williamsburg Area on 9/24/2018

9/24/2018 4:00 PM – Verizon has confirmed that there is an outage affecting some DSL customers in the, Williamsburg, VA, area. The outage appears to have started around 1:30PM ET on, Monday, September 24th, 2018. Verizon has not provided an ETR (Estimated Time of Resolution), at this time, and we are waiting for an update. We appreciate your patience.

9/25/2018 10:00 AM – Affected customers have been able to reconnect, beginning late last night, and early this morning. We’re still waiting for confirmation from Verizon that the outage has been cleared. Affected customers may have to power off, and back on, their modem and router equipment, in order to reconnect.

9/26/2018 – We haven’t received any official word from Verizon that the outage has cleared, but we are assuming it has, because all affected customers have been able to reconnect as of the morning of 9/25.
