[Resolved] Partial DSL Outage on Friday July 10 2015 in Williamsburg

The telephone company has confirmed that, today (Friday, July 10th, 2015), there is an outage affecting a limited number of DSL Internet customers in the Williamsburg, VA, area.
Some DSL customers, in the Williamsburg area, may be able to log-in, but unable to browse or surf the Internet, due to failed switch equipment in the telephone company’s network. The telephone company is aware of the issue and is waiting for the failed equipment to be replaced. Currently there is no ETR.
Updates, when available, will be posted to the Widomaker members’ home page at “http://home.widomaker.com/“. Additionally, updates will be posted to Widomaker’s Facebook and Twitter feeds, which are available on many Smartphones.

The telephone company has reported that the issue was resolved over this past weekend. Most affected customers have been able to reconnect and browse/surf the Internet. In some cases, power cycling the modem and router equipment is necessary to reconnect. Any customers that have not been able to reconnect should report the issue to us so that troubleshooting can be provided individually.
