[Final Sync] Plesk Hosting Server Migration Update 3

The following announcement is intended for customers who have their own custom domain name (ie. www.my-domain-name.com or email@my-domain-name.com) and we are providing website, e-mail, and/or DNS hosting for that domain name. If you don’t have your own custom domain name, that we are hosting for you, this announcement doesn’t apply to you. If you do host a domain name with us, please continue reading.
Please pass this announcement along to any relevant parties, including your I.T. department, I.T. support company, and/or Webmaster (Web Page Designer).

If you haven’t read the previous announcements, please read them, first.

We have almost completed the testing stage of the migration. The last stage (Final Sync) is scheduled to begin on, Saturday, 03/16/2019, after, 8:00 PM EDT.

What You Should Do:

  • Please DO NOT make ANY changes after, 8:00 PM, on Saturday.
  • If you use Webmail with your hosted domain, this is your last chance to save a copy of your Webmail address book. After, 8:00 PM, on Saturday, your Webmail address book, on the old server, will no longer be accessible.
  • Stay tuned for a message from us, posted here, announcing the completion of the migration. That announcement will contain additional steps, like testing your site, on the new server.

If You Manage Your Own DNS (Advanced Users):

At the completion of this Final Sync, the IP address, in DNS, of hosted sites must be changed to the new server’s IP address. Typically, when Widomaker hosts a domain name, we also manage the DNS records for that domain, and can make the necessary changes for you. However, a small number of customers may be managing their own DNS. This is not typical, and we don’t recommend it. We will not be able to automatically make the necessary DNS adjustments, to point hosted domains to the new server, if we don’t control the DNS for a hosted domain.

Any customers who manage their own DNS (they should know who they are), will have to make the necessary DNS changes, themselves, using the chart, below. If you manage your own DNS records, wait until AFTER, 10:00 PM, Saturday, 03/16/2019, before making DNS changes. Be aware that, depending on your TTL settings, it will take some time for your DNS changes to take effect. Check your DNS records for one of the old IP addresses, and change it to the corresponding new one, from the chart below…

Old IP Address New IP Address
199.230.54.140 67.227.172.108
216.38.60.244 67.227.172.109
64.131.72.12 67.227.172.110
207.58.178.247 72.52.177.19

Stay tuned for further announcements which will be posted in the Plesk Migration 2019 section on our Weblog (Blog).
