Plesk Web Server Partial Outage 3/15/2017
Some web hosting customers may have noticed their websites were unavailable the morning of, Wednesday, March 15th, 2017. Only database driven websites, such as those running WordPress, were affected. Standard HTML websites were unaffected.
The Plesk Control Panel, that manages our web hosting server, issued an automatic update around 4:00 A.M. That update contained a broken package for MySQL, which is the database software, powering database driven websites like WordPress.
After the cause was determined to be related to a Plesk update, that was pushed to our server, we were able to retrieve instructions from Plesk to resolve the problem.
We apologize to anyone who’s website was affected by the broken update.
