New Support Hours
Beginning this week, the week of September 8, 2025, Widomaker’s office will be closed on Thursdays and Fridays. We will continue to be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Check our Contact Page for our current business hours and days.
New Terms of Service & Privacy Policy
We have updated our Terms of Service and introduced a new, separate Privacy Policy. Links to both documents may be found at the bottom of our website, in the footer section. While we encourage you to read the new documents in full, we’ve prepared this brief summary to highlight the most significant changes…
Key Updates and Changes
- Modernization and Focus: The new Terms of Service has been completely rewritten to reflect our current business as a provider of online services. Outdated language and policies related to our former ISP services (like Dialup and DSL) have been removed to avoid confusion.
- New Standalone Privacy Policy: We have created a new, Privacy Policy that is separate from the main Terms of Service. This document provides a clearer and more detailed explanation of how we collect, use, and protect your data.
- Detailed Acceptable Use Policy (AUP): We have introduced an updated AUP that clearly defines prohibited activities. This policy provides specific guidance on issues such as system security, spam, intellectual property, and resource usage to ensure a safe and reliable environment for all our customers.
- Service-Specific Terms: The new terms now include detailed sections for our specific services, including Web & Email Hosting, Domain Name Registration, IT Consulting, Remote Support, and others. This provides greater transparency into the policies that govern each service you use.
- Updated Billing and Account Policies: We have clarified our procedures for billing, payments, and account cancellations. This includes updated details on handling late payments, credit card charge-backs, and the process for closing an account.
- Data Retention and Copyright: The new terms specify how customer data is handled and retained in our backup systems after a service is canceled. We have also formalized our process for addressing copyright infringement claims under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
Upcoming Plesk migration
During the month of September and October (2025), we plan to migrate our Plesk web hosting server(s) to new hardware. We will also be upgrading the operating system.
Please stay tuned for announcements, as we make progress. We will post additional announcements, when we are close to completing the process. At that time we will instruct hosting customers to avoid making any changes to their websites or settings, while the data is transferred, from the old server to the new one.
Now, before the migration/upgrade process begins, would be a good time to make sure you have current backup copies of your hosted data including, website files, databases, e-mail, webmail address books, and DNS records.
Stay tuned for further announcements which will be posted in the Plesk Migration 2025 section on our Weblog (Blog).
