Dial-up Issues 3/16/2017
There is, as of 3/16/2017, a known issue affecting some Dial-up Internet access users. This issue only affects Dial-up users. All other services, including Broadband DSL, are unaffected. Our dial-up carrier partner has provided the following update:
[Our dial-up partner] has become aware of an issue regarding access numbers marked as CT/CT2 at this time. Dial-up users may be unable to connect or route traffic. Our carrier is working to resolve this issue, and we will provide additional updates as soon as they become available.
Coretel has advised an Optical device with one of their tandem providers has been unstable and they are currently working to bring it back to a functional status. There is a technician on-site who is working to repair this device but their is no ETA on when this will occur.
With that said Coretel has routed most of their traffic through other means but the load this is causing makes this temporary fix unreliable as some calls would still fail or have audio problems. […] We will advise as we have more information at our earliest opportunity.
