Important Notice Regarding Widomaker’s DSL Internet Service
Unfortunately, I have some bad news about the future of Widomaker’s DSL Internet service.
We have recently been notified that Verizon, the local network provider, will be retiring the copper telephone lines that deliver DSL Internet service to most of our customers. Unfortunately, this means Widomaker will no longer be able to provide DSL Internet service to most locations after July 1, 2025.
What This Means For Current DSL Customers:
- Your Widomaker DSL Internet service will be disconnected on July 1, 2025.
- To avoid an interruption in your Internet access, we strongly urge you to begin making arrangements for service with an alternative Internet provider as soon as possible.
Action Required For Current DSL Customers:
- Find a New Internet Provider: We recommend you start looking for a new provider immediately to ensure a smooth transition. We’ve listed some potential providers in your area below.
- Cancel Your Widomaker DSL Service: Once your new Internet service is active and working, please contact our office to formally cancel your Widomaker DSL service. You can reach us by email, or by calling us at 757‑253‑7621.
- Please note: You must contact us to cancel your service to prevent further billing after your switch.
Keeping Your Widomaker Email Address:
If you wish to continue using your Widomaker email address(es) after canceling your DSL service, we offer an email-only option. The cost is $4.95 per month for the primary email address and $1.50 per month for each additional address. Please let us know if you’re interested in this option when you contact us to cancel your DSL service.
Alternative Internet Service Providers:
We understand that changing Internet providers can be an inconvenience. To assist you, here are several providers that may offer service at your location. We recommend contacting them directly to confirm availability and current pricing:
