News & Updates for September

This is a quick message to keep you updated on several happenings here at Widomaker…

1.) Faster Internet Speeds for your Home and Business
2.) Stay up-to-date with system news & Network status
3.) NEW! BusinessLink Cable Internet for your Business
4.) Be aware of other Internet deals!
5.) Want to cut the cord?

1.) Faster Internet for your home or business.

That’s right, Widomaker now can provide Internet speeds up to 15Mbps (and some of these faster services may only cost an additional $3 – $5 more a month). In the last year, Widomaker has made a lot of changes to it’s service line up. So many that most customers have no idea of
what we can do for them. Take a look:

– Dialup w/v.92 support
– Hosting & Domain Name Registration
– High speed DSL
– Cable Internet
– Metro-Ethernet
– Leased Lines (T1/T3/Frame/MPLS/VPN)
– Basic Website design

Visit http://www.widomaker.com/services.html for a list of all services

2.) Stay up-to-date with system news & Network status

Widomaker has re-designed it’s members home page a few months ago. In the middle of the page, there is an area labeled System News/Message of the day. Here you will find up-to-date information on office closings, network outages, etc. These updates are also linked to our
Twitter and Facebook pages.

3.) NEW! BusinessLink Cable Internet for your Business

We are pleased to announce a new business product. It is called BusinessLink. This is a hybrid-fiber connection to your location delivered via Coax (this is how the cable company delivers service as well). BusinessLink is capable of speeds up to 15MBps download and 3Mbps upload in most locations.

Visit http://www.widomaker.com/businesslink.html for more information.

4.) Be aware of other Internet deals!

Our staff hears this time after time: “The big guys service is costing me more then I thought”. In most cases it is just a numbers game, so be sure to do the math. Most of the new deals that we are seeing are requiring 2-3 year contracts, which will provide low pricing in the first year of service, but then gradually or even suddenly increase in years two and three. Also, the price may sound good, but they fail to mention the up-front fees, taxes, service fees should there be a problem, etc. In all likelihood, that $17 per month you were quoted ends up being approximately $26 if you really look into it, but they tend to bundle all of the services, so there is no way of telling exactly what you are paying just for your internet service. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact one of our staff, you may be paying more than you should by switching to another provider.

5.) Want to cut the cord?

Standalone Broadband is now available in most locations. A recent study showed eighteen percent of homes do not have landlines, and another thirteen percent of them have landlines but don’t use them. This equates to more than thirty percent of home based customers don’t
have or don’t want a landline.

Widomaker now offers Standalone Broadband. This means you do NOT have to have landline phone or cable service to get Broadband from us, therefore saving you money. We will install a highspeed Broadband connection on a dedicated data ONLY line. This allows customers to use alternative phone service such as VoIP, cell phones, or no voice service at all! Feel free to contact one of our staff for more information.

As always if you have any comments, questions or concerns on the above or anything else here at Widomaker, please do not hesitate to contact us.
