DSL Connect Change

Filed under: Uncategorized — Denver @ 10:30 am

Due to our recent changes in DSL, there is a change required for you to be able to login. Instructions are for ROUTERS and CONNECTOIDS.

ROUTERS

If you are using a router, you need to log into your router. This is generally done via a web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc..). Using an IP address. D-Link routers use http://192.168.0.1 (default username of “admin”) and Linksys routers (and some others) use http://192.168.1.1 (default username is blank), check your routers documentation to be sure. If you purchased a D-Link router from Widomaker then the default router username is “admin” and the router password is usually the same as your DSL connection password.

Easiest way to access your Router’s Login, is to do the following:

1. Click on START.

Click START

2. Click on Run.

3. Type “http://192.168.0.1″ (without quotes) and make sure you are using the right IP address for your router.

4. Then click OK.

Once in your router, change the PPPoE login to the phone number assigned to your DSL. This may be your home number, or if you have stand-alone DSL there is a number we gave you on your initial paperwork.

The format will be the phone number followed by @value.net. Example:

CONNECTION ICON

If you are using a connection icon all you need to do is bring up your connectiod (normally labeled Widomaker DSL or similar), and change the username. Example:
